We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and how you can manage or delete your data. ## 1. Information We Collect - **Account Details:** When you sign up or log in using Email/Password, Google Sign-In, or Apple ID, we collect your name, email address, and authentication identifiers. - **Relationship & Personal Memories:** Names of important contacts (family, partners, friends), relationship types, birthdays, anniversaries, notes, and milestones you choose to record. - **Location Data (Optional):** When you save a place (such as home, work or school), we store its coordinates and size. While you use the app, your location is used to save a place and to suggest nearby events and outdoor activities. We never send your contacts' personal information with location requests. - **Background Location (Optional, "Automatic" going-out tracking):** Only if you turn on Automatic tracking and allow location "Always" (iOS) or "Allow all the time" (Android), your phone's geofencing tells Outlife when you leave or reach a saved place (home, and work or school if you save them), **even when the app is closed or not in use**. We use this only to count your time outside and to time your going-out reminders. We store only when you left and came back, never where you went or your route. You can turn it off at any time in *Settings > Places* or in your phone's settings. - **Health & Activity Data (Optional):** If you connect Apple Health (HealthKit) or Google Health Connect, Outlife **reads** your sleep, steps, exercise minutes and workouts. It never writes or changes anything there. Detailed samples stay on your phone; only small daily totals (for example "slept 7 h 10 min", "6,400 steps") are stored with your account. - **Screen Time (Optional):** If you turn on screen time, on Android Outlife reads which apps you used and for how long through Android's Usage access. App names are shown on your phone only; we store daily totals by kind of app (for example "social and video: 1 h 20 min"). On iPhone, Outlife uses Apple's Screen Time API: the numbers stay inside Apple's private report on your phone and are never sent to us; Outlife only learns that a limit you set was passed, so it can remind you. - **Advertising & Analytics Identifiers:** We collect standard device identifiers, advertising ID (Google Advertising ID / Apple IDFA), and diagnostic logs via Firebase Crashlytics to deliver contextual advertisements and ensure app stability. ## 2. How We Use Your Information - To send scheduled reminders for phone calls, birthdays, and anniversaries. - To power the voice assistant (via Firebase AI Logic / Gemini), which securely processes voice requests on-demand without permanently storing conversational audio transcripts. - To display advertisements and measure ad performance. - To monitor performance, fix crashes, and ensure system security. ## 3. Health, Screen Time and Location Data - Used only for your own wellbeing and going-out features in Outlife: reminders when sleep is short, phone time is high or you haven't been out, and the summaries you see in the app. - **Never used for advertising or marketing**, never sold, and never shared with advertising networks, data brokers or any other third party. - Sent to the AI assistant (Gemini, through Firebase AI Logic) only as short summaries, and only if you turn on *"Let the assistant use this"* in *Settings > Wellbeing*. iPhone screen-time numbers are never sent. - Data from Apple HealthKit is not stored in iCloud. Outlife's use of information received from Health Connect follows the Health Connect Permissions policy, including its Limited Use requirements. - Each source has its own switch. Turning one off stops reading it at once and deletes what was stored for it. You can also remove access in your phone's settings at any time. ## 4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We utilize trusted third-party service providers solely to operate our application: - **Google Firebase:** Cloud Firestore, Firebase Authentication, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging (FCM), Crashlytics, and Firebase AI Logic. - **Google AdMob:** For serving advertisements. - **Apple Inc.:** For Sign in with Apple, APNs push notifications, and App Store services. ## 5. Data Security & Storage All data is transmitted securely using Industry-Standard Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS) encryption and is encrypted at rest in Google Cloud Firestore. Access to your personal data is restricted via strict Firestore security rules bound to your authenticated user account. ## 6. Data Retention & Account Deletion You have full ownership of your data. You can export, update, or permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time directly in the app under *Settings > Privacy > Delete Account*, or by submitting a deletion request at our [Data Deletion Page](https://outlife.horizam.com/delete-account). ## 7.
